Ooof.

For me, this had the makings of a great article, and I think the cog stuff had some real weight and insight that would give a lot of people pause for thought.

But then it descended into mocking cherry-picked sectors and their stereotypes, seemingly just for comedy, and that cheapened everything.

I’m commenting because I think there’s real value in experienced engineers collectively reporting their view on the state of the markets and their industries prior to a recession, and (from your other articles) I think you’re better than this take.
