I feel sorry for you and your team that this all turned out so badly, but I’m pleased that you’ve learnt from it and shared your experience for others.

That said, and without meaning to be harsh, I would add that it does unfortunately read like your team was handicapped in terms of leadership, experience and expertise for the task. The points you’ve labelled as compromises I would instead label as pitfalls – I think a stronger team would have analysed the risks more thoroughly and avoided them. I would then say that another lesson to be learned from this experience is to not make compromises without comprehensive risk analysis.
